Prof. Madhav Desai from the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay tied up with his student Reapan Tikoo and co-founded Powai Labs. Desai had been contemplating the idea of working out an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) based accelerator for proto-typing a chip.
