Powai Labs Frequently Asked Questions

Powai Labs develops semiconductor IP technologies for intelligent System-on-Chip (SoC) development. Its technology portfolio includes the AJIT Processor Core IP, APARAJIT AI Accelerator IP, and related semiconductor technologies.

Semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) consists of reusable processor, accelerator, and interface technologies that can be integrated into custom System-on-Chip (SoC) designs.

The Powai Labs technology portfolio includes the AJIT Processor Core IP, APARAJIT AI Accelerator IP, APARAJIT Micro, APARAJIT Mini, APARAJIT Mega, and the NavIC Processor, which is currently under development.

AJIT is a programmable Processor Core IP designed for integration into System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms. It combines processor architecture, memory management, debugging capabilities, software development tools, and peripheral IP.

The AJIT Processor Core IP is based on the SPARC V8 instruction set architecture.

The documented software ecosystem includes CORTOS-2, FreeRTOS, RTEMS, Zephyr, and Linux.

AJIT supports GCC, G++, GNU Binutils, and GDB for software development and debugging.

APARAJIT AI Accelerator IP combines the AJIT Processor Core IP with the APARA AI Accelerator to provide programmable processing together with AI inference, tensor processing, and parallel computing.

The APARA AI Accelerator is the dedicated AI acceleration component within APARAJIT Technology. It is designed to accelerate AI inference, tensor processing, and parallel computing workloads.

The APARA AI Accelerator supports FP4/INT4, FP8/INT8, FP16/INT16, FP32/INT32, and FP64/INT64 precision formats.

The APARAJIT product family includes APARAJIT Micro, APARAJIT Mini, and APARAJIT Mega. Each configuration is built on a common architecture while providing different processor and accelerator configurations.

The AJIT Processor Core IP provides programmable processing and system control, while the APARA AI Accelerator provides dedicated AI acceleration. Together, they form a unified semiconductor architecture for intelligent System-on-Chip (SoC) development.

Powai Labs technologies are designed for applications including Automotive, Defence & Aerospace, Robotics & Industrial Automation, and Edge AI & Embedded Systems.

Yes. The AJIT Processor Core IP is designed as semiconductor IP for integration into custom System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms.

Yes. APARAJIT Micro, APARAJIT Mini, and APARAJIT Mega share a common hardware and software architecture. The primary differences are the number of AJIT Processor Cores and APARA AI Accelerator Cores.
