FPGA Engineer

FPGA Engineer

Team Lead

FPGA Engineers are Responsible For

Designing and implementing digital logic using Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) like VHDL or Verilog.
Simulating and testing designs in virtual environments to ensure correct functionality before deployment.
Integrating FPGA modules with other system components, including software and hardware interfaces.
Optimizing performance for speed, power efficiency, and resource usage, often for compute-intensive tasks like digital signal processing, neural networks, or video processing.
Documenting designs and validation results for future reference and compliance.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and specifications.

Required Skills and Knowledge

FPGA engineers need a combination of technical and analytical skills:

Digital logic design and understanding of electronic circuits.
Proficiency in HDLs such as VHDL or Verilog, and familiarity with FPGA design tools.
Simulation and verification techniques, including testbench creation and functional verification.
Problem-solving and debugging complex systems.
Knowledge of system-on-chip (SoC) architectures and high-speed interfaces is often required for advanced applications.
